Just a side note

It’s envisaged that the Katherine Community Market and www.katherinemarkets.com.au website will take on the characteristics of a “Farmer’s Market”.

This title has been adopted in other regions interstate and in the purest sense seeks to exclude non produce related items.

Due to the relatively small population base compared to other areas, and to maintain a regionally local “Community” theme the market considers all stallholder applications on merit and welcomes diversity in the characteristics of of items permitted.

The main criteria is to encourage produce and value added fine food or like goods, small enterprise trade manufacture like arts and craft and other personal endeavour like entertainment that are derived from materials or the productive work of individuals from the greater Katherine geographical region.

Exceptions are considered in each instance, Just ask, each situation will be appraised on it’s merits.

The primary philosophy is to be do our best to be inclusive when your application is assessed by the committee.
